How I Work

For larger or open-ended projects, I use a four-phase process to keep things clear and collaborative from start to finish. Along the way I build in regular touchpoints—whether that's a quick email check-in or a short meeting—so you always have a chance to respond and redirect before we move forward. Every project is different, so the phases may shift or overlap depending on what you need.

  • I get to know you, your community, and what you're hoping for. We talk through your context, your audience, and what success looks like for this project. This is the part where I listen more than I talk.

  • Together we get clear on what we're actually making and why. I'll summarize what I've heard and we'll agree on scope, direction, and next steps before anything gets designed. No surprises.

  • I sketch and refine ideas, bringing you along the way. You'll see work in progress and have room to respond; this isn't a reveal at the end. The best outcomes happen when we stay in conversation.

  • You walk away with finished work that's ready to use. I'll make sure handoff is clear: whether that means print-ready files, brand guidelines, or just a folder that makes sense. The project ends when you feel confident with what you have.
